Also there have been 7 individual State Champions, 3 All-Americans, 18 State placers, and 48 State qualifiers at Centennial in the last 3 years. Jon started for Boise State for two years in college and was 5th in the PAC 10 as a true freshman and 2nd in the Rocky Mountain Regional Olympic Trials before suffering a career ending back injury.
Before attending Boise State, Jon wrestled for Bruce Burnett at Meridian High School 1984 -1987. He was a two time District Champion and a two time State Champion for the Warriors while they won 4 state team titles in a row. Jon was also a High School All-American in Greco-Roman. He is in his second year back helping out with the Freestyle program since his retirement from coaching in 2005. His philosophy since he began coaching the Patriots in 1996 has been “it’s not just about building champions; it’s about building better human beings”. He is married to Sarah and has three children, Bailey, Gable, and Joe. His goal is to help Collin and the Patriot program provide positive experiences for young wrestlers at Centennial and see his boys wrestle for Coach Robertson.
